Many medical professionals call Ardmore home as the area is nestled between Wake Forest Baptist teaching hospital and Novant Hospital off Silas Creek Parkway. Established in 1900, Ardmore was among the first residential neighborhoods with Victorian and Craftsman style homes, and the first neighborhood in the city to have detached garages for the commuters. It boasts charm from the homes that line the streets and with events, such as Halloween trick-or-treating when they shut down streets for safety. The community is beautiful, especially in spring when blooming trees and bushes line nearly every street, and displays of tulips and daffodils add color.
